Feng Yun 2: Qi Wuqi

Windows 2001
Zhuo Shan is a fisherman who lives in a Chinese village with his wife and two children. He remembers nothing of his past, but nightmares haunt him so much that he has to take medication from time to time. One day strange visitors arrive in the village and capture Shan's family, demanding that he return the 'perfect sword', a blade of unparalleled power. It turns out that Shan is no ordinary fisherman, but a powerful warrior named Yong who has been hiding from his enemies for over twelve years. He returns the 'perfect sword', but in the meantime his wife dies and his children are taken from him. Shan's only option is to seek out his enemies to try to save what is left of his family and prevent his mysterious and powerful nemesis from using the 'perfect sword'. In this quest Shan will find many allies who will fight by his side. Feng Yun 2: Qi Wuqi is a Chinese-made, Japanese-style RPG featuring free-world exploration. Battles are turn-based. There are four battle commands: attack, cast a magic spell, use an item, and defend. When attacking, the player has to choose which part of the enemy's body to hit, and then, by pressing buttons at the right time, can activate a combo attack that inflicts much more damage, but consumes some magic points. Casting a spell uses the same magic points. Each party member can use their own abilities, combo attacks and magic spells. When a party member is attacked, their 'rage' meter will gradually fill up; when full, it will immediately increase the party member's stats for one turn and grant them the ability to deal multiple blows to an enemy. The game is based on a comic book by Ma Rongchen (Ma Wing-shing) and was released simultaneously with the television series Feng Yun (titled Wind and Cloud or The Storm Riders for English-speaking viewers).
