Ruffian

Amiga 1996
A platforming adventure across 17 levels, starring one of the youngest characters in video games. The game moves in multiple directions, though most of the time you progress vertically, with levels designed so that one slip will send you tumbling down a long stretch - this is similar to Rainbow Islands, but the levels are considerably longer, and it happens from the first level, which makes it more meaningful. Hitting bad guys causes your energy percentage to deplete. Each level has a time limit, and you get continues as well as lives. There is an element of surveillance in the positioning, with characters often camouflaged behind backgrounds, and it is possible to use the hills to hide, and get to attack creatures that would otherwise be much tougher enemies.
