Ski Stunt Simulator

Windows 2002
Ski Stunt Simulator is a realistic physics-based simulation of ski stunts with intuitive 'mouse gesture' controls. The player has to ski down a slope, perform certain stunts and land safely. If he succeeds, the audience will cheer, if he crashes, the audience will emphatically shout 'aah'. Ski Stunt Simulator was first released as an online game/experiment in Java. It was later released for Windows with more features and levels and better graphics. The first Java web-based game has only 4 stages: jump kicker, crash & burn, wall and practice. The Windows version has 23 stages divided into 4 difficulty levels: trainer, beginner, intermediate and pro. The Windows version also has additional features such as collapsing cliffs and bridges, falling rocks, a bomb and a jet pack. The skier's stance is controlled by the X and Y position of the mouse cursor. Move the mouse up and the skier will straighten up, move the mouse down and the skier will crouch. If you move left or right, he will lean forward or backward. The simulation interpolates all mouse positions with each other, making the skier move from one position to another with fluid and natural movements.
