EGO: Repton 4

EGO: Repton 4 is not to be confused with the Repton 4 that was included in Repton Infinity. In terms of gameplay, it is quite different from previous installments in the Repton series. While still focusing on puzzle solving, the player controls Repton (or Ego, as he is called here) from a top-down perspective and the goal of each level is to collect puzzle pieces that need to be assembled into an image of a famous person, a building, a painting, and so on. The player can only collect one piece at a time and has to bring it to a frame in the center of the level where it has to be placed in the right place. It is important to pick up the pieces in the correct order or else an empty place in the center might be blocked by surrounding pieces. A piece can only be dropped in the correct place and it is not possible to move pieces that have already been placed. The player also has to collect the gems that are found all over the levels. The picture cannot be completed if all the gems have not been collected. There are also different obstacles. Towers and trees can block the way and there are also holes to fall into and androids to avoid. There are also conveyors and conveyor belts that are needed to reach certain parts of the levels.
