Crossfire is a single-screen perspective shooting game in which you are a cop leading 'The Untouchables' against the mafia led by Al Capone and 'Legs' Diamond. You have to visit nine locations and shoot all the bad guys that appear on the screen in various locations by controlling a crosshair and shooting them. There are also civilians that you cannot shoot or you will lose points at the end of each location. To complete a location you must stay alive while a timer counts down, and when it reaches zero then you move on to the next location. As you shoot, the bad guys will shoot back after a short period of time and if you are hit you lose one of your four lives and the location starts over.
