Turbo Jam is a racing game in which the player drives a car through a maze from a top-down perspective. The car is always moving forward, and most of the player's control consists of steering the car left or right at intersections. However, it is also possible to accelerate or reverse slowly. In each level of the game, the goal is to collect all the flags that appear on the screen, one at a time. As in Head-On, there are chase cars chasing the player, and you must avoid colliding with them. If you collide with them, you will lose a life. To help the player, fireballs can be collected and shot to destroy the chasing cars.
