A simple cave flying game: maneuver your helicopter through volcanic caves while avoiding hitting the cave walls. The helicopter is continuously pulled down by gravity, and gains height by holding down the space bar. The score increases along with the distance traveled; every 1000 points, a new level begins, with a narrower and more dangerous cave.
The entire game is squeezed into 256 bytes of executable code, with side-scrolling graphics and sound included.
This very compact implementation of Pac-Man weighs only 256 bytes, but is still fully playable. To fit the size of the program, Pacman256 dispenses with the energizing pellets, scoring, multiple lives, and functional side tunnels, but the essentials are intact: traverse the maze, chew the dots, and avoid the four patrolling monsters.
