Jenny of the Prairie
Jenny of the Prairie centers on a girl who becomes stranded on the prairie after becoming separated from her wagon train in 1842. In the role of Jenny, the player must prepare for the coming winter by gathering food and having a warm shelter for when the cold comes. At the beginning, a choice of three different skill levels is offered, and the player is also asked if they want to build a shed in a clearing, or tame a fox and live in a cave. After that, the main survival quest begins, in which multiple screens can be explored with the character. Jenny can move around and interact with the environment using keyboard commands. Scores can be displayed to track progress in terms of collecting firewood, food and a cloak for the winter. Some actions, such as picking things up, require word input.
