Castle Blackstar is a single player text adventure set in a magical world.
The player takes the role of an adventurer who has been sent by Lady Artemis to Castle Blackstar to retrieve an artifact, an orb. Any 'mortal treasure' recovered can be kept.
Progress in the game is recorded by the points the player accumulates on his travels.
