Rat Hunter
Rat Hunter is a computer game released in 2006 for Windows. In the game, players join the rat hunters, a team of rat exterminators who travel through a post-apocalyptic world to eradicate all rodents. The object of the game is to use traps and weapons to capture or exterminate the rampaging rats that pose a constant threat to civilization.
The game is set in a vast and varied environment that is surprisingly rich and colorful despite the desolate, post-apocalyptic setting. Players explore crumbling towns, forlorn underground sewers, and decaying industrial areas all the while searching for rats. Along the way, they must defend themselves against giant mutated rats, vicious robots, and insidious cyborgs who protect their verminous masters.
The game features a unique weapon selection prompted by the environment. It contains a mix of conventional weapons like pistols, shotguns, and rifles, as well as custom-made rat traps and rodent-specific weapons like poisonous crossbows, rat maces, and net launchers. As the game progresses, the rat hunters can upgrade and modify their weapons and traps to more effectively battle their rodent adversaries.
In addition to the single-player mode, the game also includes multiplayer mode. Players can join up to three friends for a cooperative, rat-hunting expedition across the post-apocalyptic environment. Various special weapons and items are available for multiplayer games, plus there are rewards and achievements to be unlocked.
Rat Hunter’s colorful settings, interesting weapon selection, and cooperative multiplayer mode provide hours of entertainment. With the enormous variety of enemies and traps, plus the ability to customize weapons, Rat Hunter is an enjoyable and unique gaming experience.
