Pike: Operacija Gromoverzhec

DOS, Windows 1996
Humanity has always tried to go beyond the frontiers of the solar system, but due to wars and economic and ecological crisis this dream remained unrealized for a long time. The third millennium saw the necessary technological breakthrough that allowed mankind to take a step towards the stars. A long time later, widespread colonies, located hundreds and thousands of light years away from Earth, formed a new global alliance: the League of Intergalactic Nations, which guaranteed a peaceful being, with full political and economic sovereignty for all members. But one nation, the Quakers, was not interested in peace at all. Although the Quaker strike forces were destroyed after all, they still have many fortified bases on their mother planet. Pike - is a military ship, specially designed to fight effectively on the surface of a water world. The game is a top-down arcade shooter (mostly). Unlike many other arcade games, the map actually rotates around you, while your ship remains static. You can pilot a Pike or a helicopter called a Hind, each with a different game strategy. You can equip your ship with machine guns, flamethrowers, plasma cannons and various types of missiles and torpedoes. In campaign mode the game is divided into days, and you must complete more than half of the missions presented to move on to the next day. Typically, a day contains five basic missions and one secret mission. The objectives are simple: destroy/protect something and return to base. In addition to the global campaign, you can play random missions, duel mode or multiplayer via modem, null modem or IPX network.
