Aura: Fate of the Ages
Mysterious and glorious worlds exist in parallel, created by ancient and senior members of the Guardian Clan. Those elders also possess sacred rings that give them the ultimate power not only to travel to those worlds, but also to create new ones. Legend has it that on those worlds there are artifacts that, combined with the sacred rings, can give the wearer ultimate power and immortality.
To safeguard the universe, entry to the various worlds is restricted to a few members of the Clan. But a sinister threat has arisen and the hidden artifacts must be found before it is too late. You, as the 'Guardian's Apprentice', have been chosen to go on the quest. You will explore four wondrous locations: the Valley of Ademika - the gateway and the world of secrets and sacred rituals; Dragast - a mechanical realm with a winter setting; Na-Tiexu - a land full of magic and astronomy; and then the Isle of Unity.
Aura is a 3D adventure game that combines the visual style of Myst-like games with complex puzzles similar to puzzle games such as Obsidian and Jewels of the Oracle. The game, controlled entirely with the mouse and in first person, features puzzles of different types and difficulty (mechanical, mathematical, logical, musical, etc. ), unusual objects to find and use, and interaction with non-player characters. In addition, an in-game 'Clue Journal' records all the clues to the puzzles the player encounters for easy reference while playing.
Dead Reefs
This adventure game is a murder mystery investigation game set on Dead Reef, an isolated island surrounded by dangerous rocks in the North Atlantic Ocean. The island was once inhabited by pirates who lured ships passing through the dangerous reef, slaughtering their crews and stealing their valuable cargo. Eventually, however, the pirates stopped pillaging and became legal residents of the island.
Stories of the pirates became legend, especially the strange murders that occurred every nine years, leading citizens to believe that the island was under a curse. Detective Amadei Fimbinello, coming from the mainland, is assigned to investigate the latest murders and those that preceded them.
Mysteries abound in this desolate place, including dark family secrets, haunted houses and strange paranormal activity. Amadei must talk to everyone on the island, investigate the island's ancient history, collect inventory items and solve puzzles.
The game is played from a third-person perspective, but there are some first-person scenes. Controls are done entirely with the keyboard.
