Yendorian Tales: Book I - Chapter 2
During your first adventure in Yendor, a challenge from the rulers sent you into the mines and forests to fight the evil monsters that seemed to be growing in number. Zamora, dean of the Athaneum, had been working for many years on a solution to the problem . . . a magical orb, which he would present to all of Yendor.
During the ceremony, an invisible intruder took possession of the orb, causing Zamora to fall into a catatonic state. Your job was now to locate the mysterious culprit and return the orb.
In the course of your journey you encountered members of the 'Society of Magicians'. They sent you on precarious missions to find ingredients that, when mixed, would diffuse the orb's power and separate it from its captor.
After many valiant battles, you finally came face to face with the dark-souled being who had taken the orb and used it to wreak havoc on Yendor. The name of this evil wizard . . . Paltivar. Before you could destroy him, members of the 'Society of Wizards' informed you that Paltivar was once one of them, but had chosen a darker path of magic.
Now the mages were faced with a dilemma. Due to an ancient agreement, they could not kill Paltivar. So, with their combined power, they banished him to time itself.
With the orb back in Zamora's presence, he was revived. And with their gratitude he became one of the greatest heroes Yendor has ever known.
And so the story continues. . . .
Yendorian Tales: The Tyrants of Thaine
Beginning with a seemingly insignificant quest, you were led to the mysterious Lost Isles of Yendor. Following the trail of a group of evil wizards, you encountered civilizations of gnomes, elves and halflings.
Along your journey, you learned that the evil Paltivar had found a way to communicate through portals. He was able to gain the loyalty of three wizards, Simech, Cyril and Irudon. These mages illegally gathered many powerful reagents to build a quartz chamber in Thaine.
In the end, you were able to defeat them. Unfortunately, their chamber was already complete, awaiting the eruption of a volcano. When it fills with lava, this chamber will be activated and allow Paltivar to be released from his eternal prison.
And so the story continues . . .
