NHRA Drag Racing is an exciting and entertaining game released for Windows in 1998 that allows players to go up against the clock in fast-paced drag racing competitions. Players can choose from a variety of customizable vehicles, ranging from classic American muscle cars to sleek European imports. Each vehicle comes equipped with different power, weight, and drag ratings, enabling players to strategically pick their ideal racing machine suitable for their own racing style.
The game features two single-player modes, with the first being the career mode which allows gamers to gain points and unlock new race tracks, cars, and parts. The second mode, known as the Play-A-Friend mode, allows drivers to race against a ghost of their best lap, an AI-controlled opponent, or even a multi-player, online contest. Regardless of the mode chosen, all offer an exciting and adrenalin-filled experience as drivers navigate their cars safely down the track and shift through gears while trying to better their own records and outperform their opponents.
