I developed a game Alien2 Infestation in the early 1990s, initially in QBasic and then in QuickBasic, which was released as shareware on the May 1993 PC Today cover disk. The game was an homage to Leading Edge's Aliens board game (reactor room scenario), but with the addition that acid from dead aliens could make the squares impassable to marines.
