Clock Solitaire

In these days when card games abound and compilations can contain hundreds of games it is easy to forget that this was not always the case. Clock Solitaire is a single player shareware game consisting of a single solitaire variant. It is played entirely with the mouse, the player clicks on the deck to deal and then moves the cards to their corresponding position in a clock-facing arrangement. In this form of solitaire there is very little strategy, as success or failure depends entirely on the dealing of the cards.

Osmosis Solitaire

Osmosis, also known as 'Treasure Trove', is a solitaire card game. The game uses a standard 52-card deck of 4 suites, and the object of the game is to sort the cards into suites (not sorted). To do this, after shuffling the deck, 16 cards are first dealt in 4x4 vertical 'stock piles' face down, and then the top card of each is turned face up. The next card of the deck (the 17th card) is placed face up to the right of the top stock pile, and is declared as the 'foundation'. Any other card of the same suit can be placed in a row above the foundation card, regardless of the numerical order for this first row. Below the foundation row of the first suit, the other suits are placed, but now the cards have to follow in the same order as the suit immediately above. The remaining deck is used to collect cards 3 at a time in a 'waste' pile, and try to place them on the foundation by taking cards from the top of the waste pile. When the remaining deck has been exhausted, and all cards are in the discard pile, it is not shuffled, just turned over and dealt again in the same order. If no cards can be placed after the deck is dealt again, the game can be ended manually, as no cheating is allowed. Face up cards from the spare piles can also be placed on the foundation, allowing the next spare to be turned over. If a spare pile becomes empty, it is left as is. The ideal end result is for all cards to be in four rows of unordered suits on the foundation, but that depends on how the cards are dealt. Scoring is done from game-specific rules, and the result is kept in a local high score list. There is also a 'Grand Masters' high score, based on the high scores of registered users in previous versions of the game.

Peg Solitaire

Peg Solitaire is an implementation of the single player board game. It comes with two 'classic' board layouts:PEG: The traditional cruciform board that has thirty-three holes of which thirty-two are occupied. The objective is to remove all but one tile from the board by jumping over them with neighboring tiles. PEG OF COLOR: which uses the same board but here there are only twenty-four pegs, six pegs on each arm of the cross and each group is of a different color. The game is controlled with the keyboard or mouse, has basic sound effects and a score table.
