German text adventures are scarce, and the good ones even more so. Die Kathedrale by Weltenschmiede is one of those few good ones, along with Hexuma, Soul Crystal and a couple of lesser known games.
The game offers an atmospheric story, very challenging puzzles and an overall good interface that features good graphics and writing. It is also much longer than average, with some very difficult puzzles that make the game perfect for fans skilled in interactive fiction.
