Dogz: Your Computer Pet is a video game in the simulation genre developed by PF Magic and published by PF Magic originally released in 1995. It is currently playable on Windows 3.x, Mac.

Dogz: Your Computer Pet is the first game based entirely on caring for a virtual pet, even before Tamagotchis became popular. From the title screen, players can choose one of five available puppies and interact with them using the mouse. The dog can be picked up and dragged, and lives on the player's desktop. The dog needs to be fed and can be played with, scolded and taught tricks. It is also possible to take pictures and design a playpen for them. In other applications, the dog can get your attention by grabbing the cursor, or you can throw a ball to keep it busy while it does something else.

When the dog is not fed or cared for too long, it dies. This concept was also used as a commercial incentive. The game was distributed free of charge, but it only came with five days of food. Since without food the dog would die in the demo version, this encouraged players to pay the $20 to get the full game and an unlimited amount of food.
