Dough Boy

Dough Boy is a video game in the action genre developed by Synapse Software Corporation and published by Synsoft originally released in 1985. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

The president has been kidnapped and is being held behind enemy lines. Players take control of a soldier who has to break through enemy lines to rescue this important prisoner of war.

The game consists of five different timed maps that make up the battlefield. The game itself is viewed from a top-down perspective of the war-torn battlefield, which is full of trenches and other obstacles, not to mention enemy guards. On the battlefield there are objects that the player can pick up to add to their inventory. The objects include TNT, mechas, ladders, mines, keys and wire cutters. These items will be needed to overcome obstacles to traverse the battlefield and rescue the prisoner. The soldier is also equipped with a pistol that can fire bullets at any approaching enemy soldier.

The Famicom version of the game features an A game, a B game and a game 2 mode. Game A is the basic game, while Game B increases the difficulty by constantly firing missiles at the player. In 2 Play mode, one player controls the soldier while the other controls the missiles. The missiles can be used to destroy enemy soldiers, but can also damage the other player.
