Description D.R.A.G.O.N. Force
The D. R. A. G. O. N. Force is a team of mercenaries who only take on the most dangerous jobs. Throughout this game, they will perform twelve missions against drug barons and terrorists. Objectives vary from eliminating targets to rescuing hostages.
D. R. A. G. O. N. Force is a turn-based tactics game. During each round, the player assigns orders to the men, e. g. movement, shooting or special actions, which are executed simultaneously (along with AI options). There is a strategic map (showing the entire mission area) and the nearest tactical map with zoom. As expected, the three fire commands are especially important: the usual direct fire at an enemy, aiming at a specific point or an opportunity fire that is activated when passing between enemies. The environment, for example building hedges, can be used as cover and affects the line of sight.
Before each mission, the player has to choose seven soldiers from a group of 14. Each soldier has different training and therefore different skill scores in medic, machine gun, anti-tank weapons, scouting, precision shooting, demolition and close combat. The next step is to give them equipment from a relatively large arsenal. The key to success is to have a mix of soldiers with the right equipment (obviously, a soldier with poor precision shooting skills should not use a sniper rifle) who are prepared for all possible situations.
