DragonsDen

DragonsDen is a video game in the action genre developed by Commodore Business Machines, Inc and published by Commodore Business Machines, Inc originally released in 1983. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

In DragonsDen you play as Den, a knight armed with a spear on a flying horse.

The controls are easy, move your joystick left and right, use the joystick button to fly higher, usually the horse automatically sinks to the ground.

The game is divided into 6 stages. In stage 1 you must use your spear to hit the dragon eggs on the ground, once you hit them the eggs will open and the little dragons will fly and attack you. After hitting all the eggs, you get a spear. Hit the dragons once with your spear to kill them. 5 eggs, 5 little dragons.

The second stage takes you to a catacomb where the screen scrolls from left to right and spiders cross your path. Avoid them. The 3rd stage is almost the same; this time flying birds cross your path while a spinning blade hovers near the ceiling. Avoid the blade and avoid or kill the birds. Then, in stage 4 you must avoid the arrows until you reach the end of the catacombs.

There, in stage 5 a huge dragon egg awaits you. The dragon inside has to get out of the egg. Kill the flying birds with your spear to break the egg and free the dragon. Finally, in stage 6 you must spear the dragon four times to kill it. If you are able to defeat this flying dragon then you have mastered the 1st level. The game repeats about 4 or 5 times, the monsters become more aggressive, the game becomes faster until you face the final dragon boss. Defeat it and it will fall in love with your flying horse.
