Dustman

Dustman is a video game in the puzzle genre originally released in 1992. It is currently playable on DOS.

Dustman is a single player puzzle game.

The player encounters a game area in which there are houses, roads and grassy areas. The player must collect from all the houses in the city. Points are scored for garbage cans and garbage bags collected, and are lost for bags that are dropped or broken, which can happen if too many bags are carried around. There are also dogs around the city that may, or may not, attack. The game is timed and if the player takes too long to collect the garbage it is game over, but if he is efficient he moves on to the next screen.

The game comes with two graphics modes, VGA which has pretty pictures and an unspecified mode which uses character graphics. The actual game area is thirty-two lines deep, but only sixteen lines are displayed at a time, the game automatically scrolls when the player gets within four lines of the top/bottom edge.

The game came with an add-on program, the 'Dustman Sprite Designer' which allowed the player to edit the VGA sprites, the text sprites used by the game could not be changed. registered users also received an editor allowing them to create their own levels.
