Description Eco-Saurus

Eco-Saurus is an excellent edutainment title from First Byte. Designed to teach children about environmental conservation, you will join the friendly dinosaur Zug as an Environmental Conservation Officer (E. C. O. ) on a mission to save Eco Island and rescue his alien friend M-Kar. By conserving energy and collecting recyclable materials from the local inhabitants, you will help restore Eco Island, rebuild M-Kar's spaceship and provide him with enough energy for his flight home.

The game is very easy to learn: just use the mouse to pick up the garbage on each screen and place it in the appropriate recycling garbage can (or just throw the garbage away if it is not recyclable). You'll meet many colorful inhabitants of Eco Island, each of whom can even talk, albeit with a sound similar to the robots in Sound Blaster's first Dr. Sbaitso. Kids will be drawn in by the fun gameplay, the funny cartoon dinosaurs and the very nice VGA graphics.

The game could have used a deeper database, but as a title developed for the very young (preschool and elementary level), Eco-Saurus has the right balance of education and fun to keep kids glued to the screen.
