Executive Suite

Executive Suite is a video game in the simulation genre developed by Armonk Corporation and published by Armonk Corporation originally released in 1982. It is currently playable on DOS.

Executive Suite is an excellent (and perhaps unique) simulation of office life. Your goal is a typical white-collar one: to climb the corporate ladder to become a CEO. What sets this game apart from other business simulators is the fact that it focuses entirely on office politics and ethical decisions that people routinely face in real life.

The game presents you with situations or problems that you must solve by choosing from multiple options. For example: you see a competitor inadvertently drop a confidential folder containing his top-secret product development plan - would you kindly return it to him, try to sell the information or give it to your boss?

As in real life, the 'solution' to these situations is far from obvious, and is often a contest between your conscience and your drive for business success. Also, as in real life, you will find that morally questionable behavior will often get you further than the do-gooder's attitude. After a series of situations, the game evaluates your 'performance' and offers you the opportunity to advance your career with the corporation. If your new job application is accepted, you will be shown your salary and various perks, and then you will have to face tougher situations commensurate with greater responsibility.

Overall, Executive Suite is a fun, highly original and possibly controversial game that will either help you hone your business management skills or discourage you from doing business.
