Description F17 Challenge

A third-person racing game with real Formula 1 cars and tracks, which represented Team 17's first attempt at the genre.

There are two game modes, Arcade and Normal: in Arcade mode you have to finish in the top 3 every time, while in Normal mode you accumulate the corresponding points, regardless of one or two bad results. There are 3 difficulty levels and the number of laps is variable.

The course includes 22 cars (you can choose between a Ferrari, a Williams, a McLaren and a Benetton), and contact with them (or with curbs or road barriers) inflicts damage to your car. This can be serious enough that you may have to pit for repairs (if you don't make it to the pits and have further contact, you may be forced to abandon). Avoiding the slower cars you do get to can be crucial.
