Fantasia

Fantasia is a video game in the action genre developed by Infogrames Europe SA and published by SEGA of America, Inc. originally released in 1991. It is currently playable on Genesis.

Fantasia takes place in Mickey Mouse's dream world as a sorcerer's apprentice.

Mickey must find the missing musical notes scattered throughout four imaginary worlds. The Water World, Earth World, Air World and Fire World are filled with magical creatures such as marching brooms, jumping mushrooms, leaping cacti, flying horses, dancing hippos and many more.

The music of the worlds is taken directly from the movie, and includes pieces by Bach, Mussorgsky, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Dukas and Ponchielli.

Mickey must collect special objects to maintain his strength and earn extra points. Spell books, stars, crystal balls, potions and dinosaur eggs help him along the way. Enemies are eliminated by bouncing on them or by casting small or large spells. If Mickey finds a wooden door, he is led to a bonus area where he can collect many magic items.

At the end of each level, Mickey takes the notes he has found to the conductor, who will send him back to the world to continue searching if he hasn't found enough or hasn't earned enough points.
