Fighter Duel Pro 2 is a video game in the simulation genre and published by Jaeger Software, Inc. originally released in 1994. It is currently playable on Amiga.
Fighter Duel Pro 2 is an enhanced version of the original 'Fighter Duel Pro' with nine additional aircraft. All previous aircraft and game modes have been retained, while new game modes have been added.
There is a new single-player mode with a maximum of one versus four computer-controlled aircraft, and a multiplayer mode with two humans versus computer-controlled aircraft, which can be played in a pilot/gunner or leader/warlord configuration. The gunnery has been redesigned with computer lead cannon sights. There is also an anti-aircraft gunner mode, in which players can defend their positions against enemy aircraft invading from the ground.
Hardware support for the AGA graphics chipset speeds up simulations on the Amiga 1200 and 4000 models, but the original chipset is still supported. Sky shading has been improved from the previous uniform blue color, and the aircraft configuration interface has been updated. Aircraft damage types have been increased, and view control via joystick hat switches is supported. Game chat is now available in flight.
The number of aircraft types has been increased from 16 to 25, including 9 new types.
