Football Masters 99 is a video game in the sports genre developed by ESP Software and published by ESP Software originally released in 1999. It is currently playable on DOS.

Football Masters 99 allows the player to control over 50 teams from 15 countries across Europe, each with its own league system, such as the four direct divisions in England, Scotland and Denmark to the national leagues with a third regional level in Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. All squads are editable before starting a match, and up to eight players can compete at the same time.

Managers have the usual ability to set player bonuses and ticket prices, plan training sessions both globally (a bag of 40 hours a week to be split between playing, fitness, set pieces and skills) and individually (the manager can insist on one of ten individual skills), sign, sell and transfer players and set formations and tactics (set up the full backs, block defense or offside trap. among others).

A good performance will give the opportunity to coach a higher ranking club, but always in the same league. It is possible to select a top team, but start in the lowest division, as well as randomize player statistics, which can be edited to suit your tastes.

The game engine features a top-down radar (which you can click on at any time and change the position of any player) that tracks the action by the minute, as well as text information on key events such as goals, fouls and cards.
