Forest is a video game in the action genre developed by Tang's Electronic Co., Ltd. and published by Tang's Electronic Co., Ltd. originally released in 1983. It is currently playable on Atari 2600.
Oh, poor woodcutter. All you want to do is cut and sell wood for your family to eat, but an evil witch has cast a spell on the animals and they are attacking you. But you have to get the tree somehow.
To get to the tree, you have to go two screens to the right. Animals will attack you from both sides of the screen. You can jump over them or cut them with the axe by holding down the button and pressing the joystick in the direction you want. You cannot cut the snakes, but you can jump over them.
Also, the bird in the air will drop stones on you, which you must counter. If you get hit by a stone, you will be immobilized for 2 seconds, which is fatal. Once you reach the tree, you must cut it down while avoiding the animals. You can do this by cutting four trees on each side. If necessary, you can climb the tree to escape from the animals. Once you have cut down a tree, the game resumes at a faster level. You only have one life, so if an animal touches you, the game is over.
