Frankenstein is a timed side-scrolling platformer. In the role of Egor Woodenhead, the player must collect all the body parts and screws needed to create the infamous Frankenstein. The playing area is divided into four locations - village, cemetery, dungeon and the castle - full of hostile peasants and animals. Contact with enemies means a loss of energy, the same as touching the spikes on the ground and falling from above. They can be killed by jumping on their heads. Egor can carry two objects at once and supplement his energy by contact with a blonde-haired woman walking through the village.
