Garden Wars is a fast-paced, single-screen maze shooter game similar to Berzerk. Your goal? Score as many points as possible by shooting and collecting things in a static, fixed-screen maze.
However, the game is original because of the variety of things on screen. There are some monsters you have to shoot that will kill you. There are blinking objects that you have to collect (just to get points); if you accidentally shoot them (which will happen due to the speed of the game), they will disappear and reappear somewhere else. Finally, there are small yellow spider eggs that, if you don't destroy them, will hatch small yellow spiders, and these spiders, if you don't destroy them, will eventually evolve into blue spiders, that you can't destroy, only paralyze for a while.
