Garfield: Winter's Tail

Garfield: Winter's Tail is a video game in the action genre developed by Softek International Ltd. and published by Edge, The originally released in 1989. It is currently playable on Commodore 64, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST.

After a fruitful day devoted to his favorite pastime (food, what else?), Garfield the cat falls asleep next to Jon's still-open refrigerator. The cold coming out of the fridge induces him to dream of the Swiss Alps, with Garfield going in search of the world's largest lasagna factory and a mythical hen that can lay chocolate eggs. The player's goal is to get Garfield's dream to a happy ending before he wakes up.

Garfield: Winter's Tail consists of three different mini-games: in the first, Garfield skis down to a ski jump that will take him straight to the rooftop of the lasagna factory. The second mini-game takes place in the chocolate factory where the mythical chicken works: Garfield must make sure that all the mechanical chickens in the factory receive their supply of chocolate through a pipe. Finally, he must ice skate across a frozen lake, following the trail of chocolate footprints left by the chicken.

As a disturbing element, Odie appears throughout the game. The drooling dog can steal some of the food Garfield needs to replenish his energy, but he can also manipulate the factory elevator controls and poke holes in the frozen lake.

The three mini-games can be played in any order. However, playing the entire game from the ski level first is the only way to be able to see the ending.
