Gauntlet IV

Gauntlet IV is a video game in the action genre developed by Atari Games Corporation and published by Tengen Inc. originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on Genesis.

This port of the arcade original has some extra modes available. Choose again between Thor the warrior, Thyra the valkyrie, Merlin the wizard and Questor the elf (each with their own advantages/disadvantages) and 1 to 4 players (supports Sega's four-player adapter).

In addition to the standard arcade mode, there are Quest, Battle and Record modes. Quest mode: Defeat the four towers and solve the mystery of the ancient castle; weapons can be bought with gold collected from the merchants in the main area, where you can also choose which tower to face next. Experience points are used to increase your stats.
Battle mode: Fight your teammates to the death. Maps may include teleporters/monsters/objects, etc. Avoid the exits (or you will be out of the round).
Record Mode: Arcade mode with some variations like a password to continue, plus you can't die - although you will lose points for every 500 health lost.

It is possible that we have multiple downloads available when different versions exist.
