Ghost Hunters

Ghost Hunters is a video game in the action genre and published by Codemasters originally released in 1987. It is currently playable on Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC.

Hunk Studbuckle's brother Chuck answered the call to go to Nightmare Manor and rid it of the ghouls and ghosts that inhabit the place. That was three days ago and nothing has been heard since. Now it's Hunk's turn to enter the mansion and rescue his brother.

Hunk is equipped with a Subcompact Antimatter Ghost Shipyard to help get rid of the evil spirits. When Hunk enters a room, his Terrormeter rises causing his Macho Energy to decrease. The spirits must be destroyed or Hunk has to leave the room before his energy disappears. There are magic potions scattered around the room to replenish the lost energy.

Ghost Hunters is a sliding screen platformer. Hunk is controlled with the joystick, while holding down the fire button controls the sight of his gun. In a two-player game, the first player controls Hunk while the second player controls the gun sight. In addition to the main game area, a Macho energy bar, a terrormeter and your score are also visible on screen.
