Goblins Quest 3

Goblins Quest 3 is a video game in the puzzle genre developed by Coktel Vision and published by Sierra On-Line, Inc. originally released in 1993. It is currently playable on DOS.

The latest game in the Coktel puzzle adventure series is a very disappointing title that is not worthy of the name.

As the title suggests, this time you only control one goblin, as there is only one 'i' in the title. The lack of coordinating puzzles is offset by the sheer number of puzzles and increased difficulty, to the point where the game is almost impossible to solve without hints or a lot of patience.

What makes the game very frustrating is a number of puzzles that you simply can't solve without a lot of trial and error. For example, in the second scene you must get through a number of bad guys. The only way to do this is to randomly try every item you have in each type until one works; each type needs a particular item, but there's no way to deduce which one. There is no clue.

If you're a masochist, have a lot of time on your hands, or want to burn your brain cells at a faster pace, then Goblins 3 may be for you. The rest of us are advised to stay away and play the first two games in the series instead.
