Description Guardian
The name 'Guardian' sounds like a euphemism for 'Defender', and indeed there are similarities. It's a side-scrolling shooter with the same kind of spaceship, the same kind of aliens and the same kind of landscape as Defender, but without all the technicalities of that game. You don't rescue humans, and the scrolling is forced in one direction. You simply have to shoot your way through hordes of aliens, with more and more of them occupying the screen as you go. The aliens are almost always fixed in position, but sometimes move a step up or down to get in your way. As you progress, other types of aliens are introduced.
