Gulclight TDF2 is a turn-based tactical game and a sequel to T. D. F. . There is no information about the game's backstory, other than the notion of TDF2, an organization consisting of aircraft and mechas, fighting an alien race known as Plea. The gameplay is fairly straightforward: the player encounters a fairly small isometric screen and must navigate it with a handful of fighters, attacking an alien when it is in the adjacent square. The player-controlled mechas and vehicles are of different types: some are strong but have limited maneuverability, others have a wide range of movement but weak armor, etc. Battles are displayed on a separate screen and take place automatically, with both sides exchanging an attack.
