Hellforces, released in 2004 by Melesta, is an adrenaline-filled action-shooter game set within an immersive and daunting post-apocalyptic world. Featuring full 3D visuals, gamers get to don the role of the grim antiheroe, Svarog. His mission involves battling against monsters with a vast arsenal of firearms, explosives, and melee weapons.

Players are thrown into an intense and bone-chilling storyline that has truly stood the test of time. Gamers explore 15 levels as they shoot their way through hordes of demonic fiends. There are tons of gun action stages filled with charging masses of creatures, as well as creepy underground areas, swarming with even more abominations. Weapons range from a good ol' shotgun and handgun to an advanced NERP gun capable of mowing down multiple targets at once. New weapon upgrades can be purchased from the Guns Market, which also provides the player with armor and additional ammunition. With effective use of these firearms and upgrades, Svarog is able to carve through the hordes of mutants, zombies and other creatures.

There are also several bonus features within the game, such as the interactive 3D environment that allows for dynamic lighting, realistic explosions, and shadows. In-game cutscenes provide the backstory and narrative, with an impressive cinematic quality that will capture the player's attention. Additionally, gamers can customise their chosen weaponry to further increase their firepower.
