Description Ice Hunter
Ice Hunter is a single-screen platformer in which you play as Thorak the Eskimo, prince of ice, who is searching for blocks to make a special igloo. Finally on his quest, Thorak has found a multi-level cave that contains the blocks he needs for the igloo, so he goes in to retrieve them. The only way to get the blocks in place for the igloo is to carry two blocks, one at a time to a stream at the bottom of the cave, and then stand on them to float down the stream. The main problem is the creatures moving around the screen that you have to avoid or if you touch them you lose one of your four lives. However, creatures can be killed by dropping a block on top of them or allowing them to fall through gaps. An occasional bird that appears can be killed if its flight path is blocked.
To get the blocks to the bottom of the screen there are platforms over the gaps and to get a gap Thorak can walk over the platform to remove it and then drop blocks through the gap to the lower level. Thorak cannot fall through the gaps or he will be killed, but there are pillars to climb up or down. At a certain level of the cave, Thorak cannot climb back up, so he has to make sure he has two blocks to advance to the stream. A power pill can be collected that stuns the creatures and can be tapped to eliminate them. Once the blocks float away, you move on to the next cave with more creatures and the levels start to slowly scroll to the left and appear again on the right of the screen.
