Description International Rugby League
A rugby league match (rugby league is a ball sport similar to rugby union, but is characterized by tackles instead of rucks and mauls: once a player is successfully tackled, he gives the ball back to a teammate behind him, and the team loses possession if he is tackled 6 times).
The game is viewed with an isometric perspective. Three buttons control the ability to tackle, pass and kick the ball, sprint, break out of a tackle, and change selected players depending on whether the team is attacking or defending. A timing system is used for corner kicks (restarts and conversion attempts).
The game is officially licensed by the ARL (Australian Rugby League), so it includes all the official ARL team names and badges. The State of Origin team competition is also included in the license. The Super League (Europe) license was not obtained, so that league appears as the Europe League in the game, and the team names are those of the city where they are based. Several international teams and an EA Sports All-Star team are also present. Friendly matches can be arranged with any combination of teams.
The game features a team editor that allows the use of custom player names.
