Jammin'

Jammin' is a video game in the action genre and published by Taskset Ltd. originally released in 1984. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

You are Rankin Rodney and your task is to collect four instruments on a single screen with top view and place them in their correct place throughout 20 levels. The screen is divided into several colored areas which are connected by moving circles of different colors. Depending on the color of the area you are in, you can only jump to the same colored circle and you can only jump to the same colored area. To change color you must jump over a moving diamond that will allow you to jump to a circle of another color or to a zone of another color.

In the center of the screen there are four triangles and you must move around the screen to get an instrument, once you collect the instrument, the triangle to place it starts to blink. Once all four instruments are placed in their triangle, you move to the next level. There are also various notes and creatures that move around the screen and can be picked up to score points, but once you carry an instrument, if you touch it, the instrument will return to its original place. Next to each instrument there is an obstacle and by touching it you lose a life and you also lose a life when the time runs out.

Before starting the game, there are several options to select, such as the number of players (1-2), the level you start at (1-8), the number of lives (1-8) and the skill level (easy, normal or hard). In the two-player game, each player will take a turn when the last player has died.
