K. Y. A. (Keep Yourself Alive) is an action game that depicts a showdown between blues and reds, through ten caves, players fight each other and various droids to become one of the masters. Each player controls his own pod, which, after recharging, fires at opponents, other droids and destructible walls. Some walls charge the pods and others discharge them. Each pod can advance to the next cave after defeating its opponent five times in the cave. During the transition of each cave, there is a special encounter with a 'crusher' droid, which you have to defeat progressively more times.
With the cave editor, you can create new caves or save and load existing ones. You can also use the training mode to select the right tactics for a particular cave. The cave designs are completely different between the Amstrad and Thomson versions.
