Lunar Lander

Lunar Lander is a video game in the action genre originally released in 1995. It is currently playable on DOS.

Lunar Lander is a single player game based on one of the truly classic games. In this implementation the keyboard controls the attitude of the spacecraft and the mouse controls the thrust.

The objective of this game is to land a ship on each of the bases on the planet to refuel and score points. Very good landings earn the player diamonds, which can be converted into fuel and allow the player to advance in the game. When all landings have been made the player advances to the next planet and so on. The registered game also has a 'Combat Mode' in which each base has a radar antenna, a gas tank and a gun emplacement. The player must eliminate the radar bases before he can land. The radar bases control artillery emplacements which must be destroyed, or alternatively damaged, in order to recover the armament from them.

This game bears a striking similarity to PLBM Games' Gravity Well and is probably an earlier version of that game.
