In this game, you must guide your spaceship as you pick up the hostages located on the surface and get them to safety. Your task is complicated by Lunar Leepers that jump out and try to grab you or the hostages your ship picks up.
If you approach a hostage while a leeper is nearby, the leeper will keep walking towards them until they are killed. If you are grabbed by a leeper, you lose a life. You can shoot the lepers, but the problem is that you can't shoot them while they are on the surface, and you have limited ammo. You also have a limited amount of fuel, and if you run out, you must refill at the gas tank to continue.
Between levels, you enter a cavern where you must find a huge floating object. You must shoot its core to pass to the next level of difficulty.
