Mad Tracks

Mad Tracks is a video game in the racing / driving genre developed by Load Inc. and published by Micro Application, S.A. originally released in 2006. It is currently playable on Windows.

An arcade style racing game. It features 12 friction vehicles that handle very easily on the numerous race tracks. The game also has 46 challenges with 23 normal races and 23 fun mini-games like bowling or table soccer (all with cars, of course). On your way you collect weapons and power-ups to secure your advantage.

In the race challenges your goal is always to reach the finish line as one of the top 3 players. But the type of challenge differs from normal race challenges over checkpoints to simple time trials.

The mini-games always have different objectives. In the bowling test you have to knock down as many pins (or penguins on some tracks) as possible, for example. Or you have to kick your opponents off a table three times while avoiding falling yourself to win.

To play all the free challenges and power-ups you need to get a specific amount of bronze, silver or gold medals that will be awarded if you reach specific goals in the challenges. For example, in a normal race, it is enough to reach the first place to get the gold medal.

Each challenge can (once played freely in single player mode) also be played in multiplayer with up to 4 players on a PC (split screen) or with up to 8 players in LAN or over the Internet. The AI fills in missing players if desired.
