Majik

Majik is a video game in the adventure genre and published by Mastertronic Ltd. originally released in 1988. It is currently playable on Commodore 64.

King Markham lies on his deathbed. Before he passes away, he clings to the desperate hope of reuniting with his only son and heir, Prince Gideon, before he passes away. However, Gideon is rumored to be held captive in Domir's evil clutches, as only Gideon himself can unite the Clans of the Reaches and prevent Dolmir's intended domination. Piradon, a great wizard, has the task of rescuing Gideon, but carrying out this task will be most difficult, as his magical powers are limited in the lands to which he will travel.

Majik is a first-person adventure game in which players must perform certain tasks to advance in the game. The four arrow icons allow movement in any direction (N, S, E or W), and can turn white or red. If the icon is white, the player can travel in that direction, otherwise the icon is red. Next to the arrows is another icon, and selecting it presents the player with various verbs such as SEE, LOOK, SEEK and SLEEP. Objects and people are displayed in the OBJECT and PEOPLE window, respectively.
