Description Merlin's Math
Merlin's Math is a decent math program designed to teach young children the basics of algebra. Designed primarily as a promotional product for Penguin chocolate, the game is much shorter than a typical edutainment title, though it has enough cartoons to keep kids happy as they figure out the answers to simple multiple-choice math questions (e. g. , what is the result of 5 + 7?). The game has a nice mouse interface, which is quite rare for a 1992 educational game.
Overall, Merlin's Math doesn't have a lot of game variety, but it does its job of educating children in basic math. If you want a more interesting and varied program, check out the Super Solver series from Learning Company.
