Metal Army is a video game in the action genre developed by Delos Software and published by Players Software originally released in 1988. It is currently playable on Amstrad CPC.
General Ironside's metallic army has stormed the Slough nuclear power station and threatens to blow it up. Joe Blade is busy (cross-references to other Gamer titles are commonplace), so indie heavyweight Harry Chainsaw is brought in to disarm the bomb.
The gameplay is a fairly orthodox platform shooter, with maze elements. The weapons are powerful enough to destroy Ironside's army, but you have to reload them periodically. There are also hazards to avoid, such as laser beams, falling shredders, and electrical and gas discharges.
