Metal Combat

Metal Combat is a video game in the action genre developed by Solar Studios Inc. and published by Solar Studios Inc. originally released in 2006. It is currently playable on Windows.

Scrap metal and motor trash emerge in this 3D fighting game. The greedy owner of a junkyard has authorized the dumping of toxic waste on his property, but the plan has backfired: the hazardous waste has spawned a radioactive creature, which has turned the surrounding junk into sentient beings, as well as reducing the junkyard owner himself to an animated radioactive skeleton.

Metal Combat allows the player to control one of these animated sets of vehicle parts in an attempt to dominate the junkyard or escape from it. Initially, about two dozen of these fighters can be selected, but more can be unlocked, including former humans and other strange fighters. In the story mode, the player travels through various levels of the junkyard, fighting the other inhabitants who stand in their way one by one. The fighting mechanics include combos and a hit detection system that calculates damage and reactions in real time. Other game modes include a knockout tournament and a 2-player versus mode. An upgrade system allows the controlled fighter to increase his strength over time.
