Micro! Deluxe is a video game in the action genre developed by Acumen Software originally released in 1995. It is currently playable on DOS.

Micro! Deluxe is a classic DOS game that was released in 1995, taking the gaming world by storm with its addictive gameplay and simple yet challenging mechanics. Created by the renowned game developer, Jeff Minter, this game truly captures the essence of what made DOS gaming so popular in the 90s.

The objective of Micro! Deluxe is to control a spacecraft and guide it through a series of obstacles and challenges, all while collecting coins and power-ups. The controls are easy to grasp, with only a few keys needed to maneuver the spacecraft. But don't be fooled by its simplicity, as the game progressively becomes more difficult with each level, testing the player's reflexes and strategic thinking.

One of the most appealing aspects of Micro! Deluxe is its retro pixelated graphics. The game's design perfectly captures the essence of the 90s DOS era, with its vibrant colors and blocky graphics. This nostalgic feel adds to the overall charm of the game, making it a favorite among DOS enthusiasts and retro gamers alike.

Another noteworthy feature of Micro! Deluxe is its captivating soundtrack. Composed by Jeff Minter himself, the music perfectly complements the fast-paced gameplay, creating an immersive experience for the player. Each level has its own unique track, adding to the variety and keeping the player engaged.

What sets Micro! Deluxe apart from other DOS games is its customizable gameplay. The game offers a level editor, allowing players to create and share their own levels, adding a new dimension of creativity and replayability to the game. This feature also encourages community engagement and has led to the creation of countless fan-made levels.

Micro! Deluxe was a commercial success, receiving critical acclaim and garnering a cult following. Its popularity even led to a re-release of the game for modern systems in 2019, introducing a whole new generation to this DOS gem. But despite its success, Micro! Deluxe remains a hidden gem among DOS games, often overlooked in the gaming world.
